WORK STARTS ON SITE AT NEW RESIDENTIAL CARE FACILITY AT INTEGRA 61

Construction Begins On Marton Care’s 73 Bedroom Facility At £400M Durham Mixed Use Scheme

Works have now started on site at Citrus Durham’s 205 acre Integra 61 mixed-use development for the construction of a new 73 bedroom facility by North Bay Developments for one of their sister operating companies, Marton Care, creating some 70 jobs for the local area.

Planning consent obtained from Durham City Council will see developer, North Bay Developments deliver the new care home on a 1.4 acre site which sits adjacent to new homes that are also being delivered at Integra 61 and within 100 meters of Bowburn village centre. Works are expected to complete Q3 2026.

North Bay Developments specialise in delivering high quality, energy efficient, luxury care homes across the UK. The home will be operated by Marton Care who are a leading operator of care homes in the North East and North West of England with over 14 care homes and its associated companies offering high quality care across Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire, and the Midlands.

The 205 acre Integra 61 mixed-use development, which has the potential to create over 3,000 jobs and add £2 billion to the regional economy over the next 10 years, has consent to deliver some 260 new homes, a new hotel, nursery, family pub/restaurant, vehicle dealerships and trade counter/retail units.
